The real problem

You speak Dutch, but under pressure you sound smaller than you are.

This programme is not about learning basic Dutch. It is for professionals who can already communicate in Dutch, but become too apologetic, too indirect or too careful when the conversation becomes difficult.

💬

Too much “sorry” language

You apologise automatically, even when you only need to respond clearly or take ownership.

🎯

Vague or hesitant phrasing

You use phrases like “maybe”, “I was wondering” or “if that is okay” too often in Dutch.

🧱

Boundaries feel uncomfortable

You find it difficult to say what is possible, what is not possible, or what needs to happen next.

Pressure changes your Dutch

In meetings, feedback or conflict, your Dutch becomes longer, softer and less direct than you want.

Communication patterns

The goal is not to become rude. The goal is to stop making yourself smaller.

Dutch with Authority helps you replace overly soft or apologetic patterns with calm, professional alternatives. You stay friendly, but your message becomes clearer.

The 10-lesson programme

How we train

This is pattern training, not a grammar course.

You practise short, usable Dutch patterns until they become easier to use in real conversations. The focus is calm authority, not perfect textbook Dutch.

Step 1: Recognise the pattern

We identify the soft, apologetic or vague language you tend to use under pressure.

Step 2: Replace it

You learn stronger Dutch alternatives that still sound polite and natural.

Step 3: Practise under pressure

We use roleplays with irritated colleagues, vague requests, feedback and fast questions.

Step 4: Make it automatic

You repeat and adapt the patterns until they feel easier to use in real work situations.
